I was afraid of sharks , and thought of them that they just kill people... When i saw the movie, i understood that they are creatures that we depend on. And that they are not creatures that we should be afraid of and kill them. If we protect them and respect them... Animals and sharks would understand each other... And we wouldn't be afraid of each others too. As a human being we should be smarter than them and respect them first.
I feel so bad that sharks are on the verge of extinction and the brutal way on how they are killed. Their fins are cut off and the LIVE shark is thrown back into the water to die a painful death. The movie shows that some types of sharks are still being haunted, and the one that is being haunted is the one that is important to others. Haunters should leave those sharks to live on their own.
After watching the movie Sharkwater there are a few things i would like to say, I agree with the speakers, because even whaen something could harm us and has the potential to...They dont. And people use features of an animal to make up thes non-existant monsters that they fear. I like the saying used "When you cut off the head of a system the body will die." Because sharks are the "Head" of the ocean. I believe more people should stand up for these sharks and many other animals. Before watching this movie i knew there was illegal poaching in the ocean, but i did not realize how much of a problem it was, or that species are near extinct, or just how much it affects us.
It is very impressive to me to look at the way of how sharks habe been hunted down for a long time by humans who are ignorant just to think that sharks are dangerous. I feel sad because humans are now getting overpopulated, and thanks to this many other species are endangered and one day they will never be here again. Sharks attack and bite humans not kill them. There has only been few cases of sharks attacking humans, and this is why people are affraid of them and want to exterminate them. I have the clear idea of why shraks bite people and it is because they are curious and want to taste something they don't usually eat, or have never tasted before, but they never kill on purpose. Humans are out of their menu and we need them to survive basically.
After watching shark water, I was disgusted by the way humans treated sharks by cutting off their fins and desposing of them. Its just brutal
